Meet and greet details.

A meet and greet is a 30-minute in-person visit held at the location where services will take place, typically at your home. During this visit we will have a chance to get to know each other, go over the details of your booking, and ensure a good fit for everyone involved.

If you’re booking dog walking services, we can also do a brief trial walk (about 10 minutes) to see how your dog and I work together. We’ll also discuss their usual walking habits and preferred route.

For drop-in visits, you’ll have the opportunity to walk me through your typical routine so I can replicate it as closely as possible while caring for your pets and your home.

Meet and greets are free of charge. If your pet needs more time to warm up, we will schedule additional visits, these will be charged as drop-in visits after the initial meet and greet.

Booking and payments.

Accepted payment methods; Cash, Venmo, or Zelle are accepted. Checks are not accepted.

Recurring Weekly Services are billed weekly in advance to reserve scheduled time slots. Payments are due by Sunday evening for the upcoming week. If payment is not received by the required due date, scheduled services will be paused and time slots may be released until payment is received. 

One-Time or Occasional Services must be paid in full at the time of booking. Unpaid booking requests are not confirmed. 

What is the cancellation and refund policy?

Recurring Weekly Services may be canceled at no charge if notice is given before the weekly Sunday billing deadline.

One-Time or Occasional Services: Because time slots are reserved in advance: 7 or more days’ notice, Full refund. Less than 7 days’ notice, No refund.

In the rare event Elly’s Happy Hounds must cancel, a full refund will be issued, and assistance finding alternate care will be offered.

What happens if the weather is severe or hazardous?

For the safety and well-being of the pets, Elly’s Happy Hounds may modify, shorten, or substitute services as needed. This may include adjusting a scheduled walk to a drop-in style visit focused on potty breaks, enrichment, feeding, and companionship when outdoor activity is not safe.

Service modifications are made thoughtfully and in the best interest of each pet. Modified services are considered fulfilled services and are not eligible for refunds.
