ELLY GLENN

Hi, I’m Elly! I am a dog mom, dedicated animal care professional and passionate advocate for animal welfare. My little family currently includes my three dogs, two cats, a leopard gecko and a 20-gallon fresh water fish tank.

Experience: 
- 5+ years of hands-on animal care; working with a variety of animals. 
- 1 year as a dog training apprentice. 
- Beagle Freedom Project foster and volunteer. 
Hazelnut:
My pet care journey started with Hazelnut. In March 2021, I adopted Hazel from SLO animal services. I was 18 years old, bringing home a 12 week old puppy into my new adult life. Being a Treeing Walker Coonhound/Foxhound/Beagle mix she sure didn't make things easier for me, but the years of bonding, training, adventures, and joyful memories are starting to pay off in really big ways. Raising Hazel is what sparked my love for animal care and ultimately inspired me to build a career around it. She taught me that great pet care is about connection, consistency, and compassion.
Hazel will always be the heart of this journey.

Elly did a fantastic job caring for our two crazy boxers! We felt so at ease while away knowing that she was giving them all the love and attention.. they can be a bit of a handful but she was totally up for the challenge and kept us updated the whole time. Will definitely use Elly again !!

Elly was so wonderful caring for our cat who needed medication 2x a day. She was always on time and always messaged me to let me know how she was doing. She went above and beyond to make my kitty happy even when she wouldn’t come out from under the bed. Elly patiently waited to make sure she could give her the meds she needed. Absolutely will use her again!
